Slinger Board of Review elects chair and clerk, accepts 2025 assessment roll; no appeals filed

The Village of Slinger Board of Review convened at 2:00 p.m. June 3, 2025, at 300 Slinger Road. President Scott Stortz presided; Clerk Tennies and Trustee Bergum were present. Also attending were Village Assessor Eric Feavel of Catalis Tax & Cama, Administrator Wilber, and Treasurer Michelle Schoof.

Trustee Bergum moved to elect President Scott Stortz as chair of the Board of Review; Clerk Tennies seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. In a separate motion, Clerk Tennies moved and Trustee Bergum seconded the appointment of Treasurer Michelle Schoof as clerk of the Board of Review; that motion also passed unanimously.

Treasurer Michelle Schoof told the Board that Clerk Tennies, President Stortz and Trustee Bergum had completed the training required under Wis. Stat. 70.46(4) and that the training affidavit had been filed electronically with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Assessor Eric Feavel submitted his signed Assessor’s Affidavit and Schoof accepted it into the Board record. Treasurer Schoof also provided the preliminary 2025 assessment roll; Administrator Wilber said staff had reviewed the roll prior to the meeting and that outstanding questions from that review had been answered.

Chairperson Stortz opened the session for requests to waive the 48-hour notice of intent to file an objection and confirmed that no waiver requests had been received. The Board recorded that no late objection forms were submitted during the first two hours and that no property assessment objections were heard.

At 4:00 p.m., after two hours had elapsed, Trustee Bergum moved to adjourn the Board of Review sine die; Clerk Tennies seconded and the motion passed. Minutes were submitted by Treasurer/Clerk Michelle Schoof.
