The Town of Cecilton Mayor and Council voted April 20 to adopt the town’s FY2027 operating budget following a public hearing that produced no public comment. Member Sue Katzmire moved to accept the budget as written; Member Jennie Brockell seconded and the motion carried. The operating budget resolution was signed by Mayor Michael Cooper.
The council also recorded that the Personal Property Tax Rate resolution was read aloud and signed; minutes note that rate resolution had been voted and approved at an earlier meeting. In routine business, the council approved the March 23 meeting minutes and accepted the March final financial statements after motions by Member Jennie Brockell.
Council members did not identify any modifications to the proposed FY2027 budget during the session. The minutes do not specify vote tallies or the budget’s effective date beyond its designation as the FY2027 operating budget.
