Administrator Cooper told the council that roughly a year and a half ago Delmarva installed new electric poles and moved its service lines, but other utilities remained on the old poles. Mr. Martinez of Verizon walked the town with Administrator Cooper, identified the correct contacts to start moving remaining lines, and suggested a process to pursue removal of the old poles. Council members also discussed repairing sidewalks that were disturbed when the new poles were installed.
No formal resolution or motion was made; staff said they will follow up with Verizon contacts to begin the line migration and pole removal process and monitor progress on sidewalk repairs.
