Council members also discussed park projects: Kilmer Park has $165,000 in POS funds in the plan but staff and council acknowledged that this local contribution will not fully fund the accessible pathway; the town expects to supplement the POS allocation with outside grants to reach a likely near‑50/50 split for construction costs. LED streetlight conversions were budgeted at $25,000 for 2026 and staff said progress depends on negotiations with the local electrical utility regarding disconnect switches and maintenance responsibilities.
No binding appropriation for land acquisition occurred at the meeting; the amount was recorded as a placeholder and the council asked staff to revisit options and impacts at a future session.
