Recreation Supervisor Elizabeth Van Maanen told the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Board on March 3 that a new Monday toddler playtime began that day and had four children in attendance.
Van Maanen outlined upcoming special events that include Mom’s, Mimosas and Masterpieces and Breuer Family Fun Day, and listed programs such as Badges, Bows and Arrows and archery lessons planned for the spring. She said the board can expect a new and improved Summer Activity guide when it is released March 28, 2025.
Director Tony Dobson later confirmed that the 2025 Music in the Park schedule for Community Park is set and that organizers added additional events, including another Augtoberfest sponsored by the Slinger Friends of the Park; Dobson said all music events for 2025 are sponsored and a final schedule will be presented at the April meeting.
These program and events updates were informational; no formal action or funding decisions were made at the March 3 meeting.
