The chair of the Northampton County General Purpose Authority presided over a July 7 meeting during which the board approved minutes from its April 7 meeting, accepted a financial report for the period ending June 30, 2026, and approved invoices totaling $18,721.82.
A member moved to approve the April 7 minutes and another member seconded; the authority voted by voice and the motion carried. The board then heard the financial report for the period ending June 30. The presenter said, “We have the report in front of you as of 06/30/2026. We’re showing cash and cash equivalents, $950,006.36; total assets of $1,000,003.17; and a fund balance of $1,018,635.63. Our year-to-date net loss is $50,009.73.” The presenter also reported that the capital project fund had receipts and expenditures both at $818,027.83, leaving a zero net balance in that fund.
After the presentation the chair asked for a motion to accept the report. A member moved to approve the financial statements and a second was offered; the authority voted in favor and the motion carried.
Staff then reviewed invoices for payment, listing: Alfred Benish and Company for $1,120.56; a publication charge for the audit for $350.41; and Northampton County DC ED for second-quarter administrative services for $17,250.85, totaling $18,721.82. A member moved to approve payment of the bills, a second was given, and the board approved the payments by voice vote.
The packet also included an informational report of invoices paid to date; staff noted that item required no action. The meeting concluded with scheduling the next meeting for Aug. 4 at 8:15 a.m. in the council chambers and a motion to adjourn that carried.
Meeting participants raised no public comments during the allotted public-comment period.
