Board President introduced Robert Wolf, who identified himself as superintendent of Waterloo Global Schools and said he was pleased to serve as interim for the coming month and next.
The junior/senior high principal reviewed senior events, graduation and junior high awards, said nearly all applicants were accepted with one denial for discipline, and reported that seven candidates were selected for first-round interviews for the assistant principal vacancy.
The elementary principal described an awards assembly with more than 200 awards, a kindergarten ceremony for about 50 students, end-of-year carnival activities and several staff departures. The principal provided updated enrollments by grade: kindergarten 52, first 58, second 57, third 42, fourth 66, fifth 69 and sixth 48 (district open-enrolled students included in those counts). The principal also recognized staff leaving Waterloo at year’s end.
The board thanked staff and volunteers for end-of-year events and recognized the work of school teams during the transition period.
What happens next: principals will proceed with summer hiring and with assistant principal interview rounds as scheduled.
