Conservation commission approves boathouse renovation at South Orleans Road with Chapter 91 check and marsh inspection condition

Cameron Lockson of Environmental Consulting and Restoration (ECR) joined the meeting remotely to discuss an application for boathouse renovations and associated restoration plantings at 317 and 317A South Orleans Road. Staff presented a 4‑page draft of facts, findings and special conditions intended to govern the project if the commission acted that day.

Lockson said the conditions were reasonable and confirmed his team had seen the materials. Commissioners voted to close the hearing and then approved the project, referencing ECR’s mitigation and restoration plan and the staff facts/findings dated 07/07/2026.
