At its July 23 meeting the Village of Spring Green Board of Trustees reviewed proposed amendments to three local ordinances but did not adopt any changes.
Proposed changes to Ordinance 180 (Bicycles and Play Vehicles) would remove several existing line items (§180-1 A,B,C,D,E,F,G and L), add definitions for “electric bicycle” and “play vehicles,” and add a new §180-3 to regulate golf carts. The minutes indicate discussion of those edits but record no motion or vote.
Trustees also reviewed proposed edits to Ordinance 262 to change curfew hours from "12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m." to "11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m." and to replace gendered pronouns ("he") with "they." Separately, proposed amendments to Ordinance 288 would change references from “Municipal” to “Veterans Park” and move the closing hour from midnight to 10:00 p.m. The minutes note that no formal action was taken on these items.
The board’s discussion did not record final language for the ordinances or a schedule for further consideration; staff follow-up or ordinance drafting assignments are not specified in the minutes.
