Trustee Katelyn Appleby gave a detailed run-through of the village’s 250th celebration events and logistics at the July 7 meeting, urging residents to plan ahead for limited parking and to reserve pavilions through the village office.
Appleby said Friday will feature an adults-only night swim and a beer garden in the new pavilion, with food vendors and music. Saturday’s program includes a parade from Mosier Park to Queenman’s Landing, roughly eight food vendors and about 39 total vendors, historical reenactors, children’s activities, live music throughout the day and an extensive fireworks show around 9 p.m. Shuttle parking will be provided at Peter B with buses running from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

She also confirmed some handicap parking will be available at the landing and recommended people use Peter B and shuttles if they prefer less walking.
Trustees asked about handicap-access arrangements and were told organizers will use available handicap spots at the landing but that most parking will be at Peter B with a shuttle service. The board did not record additional permitting or safety directives in the meeting record.
