The Friendsville Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in Town Hall to consider VR-2024-1, an application submitted by the Ruth Enlow Library of Garrett (applicant Thomas Vose) requesting a variance to allow 21 fewer parking spaces than required by town ordinance 600D.
Mayor Spencer R. Schlosnagle told the council the Board of Zoning Appeals considered the application on Aug. 29 and recommended proceeding to a public hearing. The minutes note the mayor asked that council members plan to attend the Oct. 1 hearing. The minutes do not record any council position for or against the variance; the hearing will provide an opportunity for public comment and formal consideration by the board.
