Robbins approves treasurer's report, authorizes IML delegates and accepts warrant list

At its Aug. 24 meeting the Village of Robbins Board of Trustees accepted the treasurer's report showing an ending balance of $566,672.53, approved a resolution authorizing delegates to the Illinois Municipal League conference (Sept. 23–25, 2021), and voted to accept the warrant list. All motions passed by roll-call vote with ayes from Trustees Dyson, Maxey, Brewton, Robinson, Collier and Jackson.
The Village of Robbins Board of Trustees approved several routine financial and procedural items at its Aug. 24 meeting.
Marlo Kemp, finance director, reported a beginning bank balance of $690,274.84, receipts of $529,779.20, disbursements of $653,385.22 and an ending balance of $566,672.53. Trustee George Brewton moved to accept the treasurer's report; Trustee Tiffany S. Robinson seconded. The board recorded a roll-call vote in which Trustees Dyson, Maxey, Brewton, Robinson, Collier and Jackson voted aye, and the motion carried.
Trustees also approved Resolution 8-24-21 authorizing delegates to attend the Illinois Municipal League conference (Sept. 23–25, 2021). The resolution was moved by Trustee George Brewton and seconded by Trustee Ernest Maxey and passed on a roll-call vote with the same ayes. The board approved the warrant list (motion by Trustee Brewton; second by Trustee Robinson) after Trustee Robinson asked about the Illinois Public Risk Fund; Finance Director Kemp explained the fund is used to pay workers' compensation and short‑ and long‑term disability benefits.
No new appropriations or budget amendments were listed in the minutes. The board adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
