Staff said the required employee contribution rose to 5.98%, a 1.25 percentage-point increase from the prior year, producing an estimated additional annual City cost of roughly $9,000 and bringing the total annual pickup to about $42,000.
Police Chief Jackson Ames said Enoch has historically paid both employer and employee contributions to remain competitive with neighboring municipalities. Council members discussed establishing a future cap on the City's pickup of employee contributions but agreed to continue covering the increased cost for the current year.
