Council Member Eric Manske reported on street condition assessments and said vendor Allied provided a spray-patch estimate of $4,906 to address numerous localized defects. Allied advised the council that seal-patch work had not been done well previously; Eric said he contacted the prior contractor for review and that additional bids will be sought for any larger overlay work.
The council discussed overlay cost estimates, with one option to repave South Skyline and West to the cul-de-sac for an estimated $126,000 (not including certain back portions). Council debated adding a concrete pad at the park; Allied quoted $8,000 if included as part of the same trip or $16,000 for a separate trip. Eric said he would obtain more quotes.
Michelle Kotila moved to approve the Allied spray-patch quote and Joanne Boettcher seconded; the motion passed unanimously. No overlay contract was awarded; the council asked staff to pursue additional bids and return with recommendations.
