Wayne planning committee approves EDDM mailer, flyers and library assistance to boost survey responses

S3 described the EDDM mailer design and said the card could also serve as a flyer. Committee members debated two-sided printing and layout details — including where to place a QR code and the guest SurveyMonkey link — and considered how postal addressing works for EDDM pieces. "Every door every door direct mail... they just run it through whatever machine they have to," S1 said while discussing address printing.
The group discussed quantities and cost. S2 cited a vendor address count around 504 addresses and the committee settled on ordering 600 pieces to allow extra copies for public posting and handouts. "So, Lynette, you're gonna order 600 of those, and you'll talk to Shannon... about how to bill it to the balance account," S1 instructed.
To reach residents who lack internet or smartphone access, members planned in-person support via the public library and local aging-at-home outreach; S4 agreed to contact library staff (Janet) and S3 offered to assist library users who come in to take the survey. The committee also agreed to include the QR code to simplify access and to publish a short Messenger blurb with the QR code and link.
S1 and staff will finalize the print-ready files and billing procedure; Lynette was assigned to order the EDDM cards and coordinate pickup or postal drop-off. The committee expects the print and mail pieces to be distributed in the coming weeks as part of the coordinated outreach push.
