The Town Council moved into a closed session at 7:23 p.m. on Feb. 12 to consult with legal counsel about personnel matters involving the Police Department and the Town Manager. Councilmember Ernest moved to close the public meeting for that purpose; Councilmember Noon seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
During the closed session the council held administrative discussion and agreed to permit the Town Manager to use a Town vehicle and the town fuel card provided that the Town Manager complies with the Town Vehicle Policy. No formal votes were taken in closed session on personnel discipline; the record states the council reached agreement on the vehicle and fuel-card condition. At 7:51 p.m. Councilmember Noon moved to end the closed session; Councilmember Brelia seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Brelia then moved to adjourn the public workshop; Councilmember Noon seconded and the adjournment motion carried unanimously.
