At the Dec. 10 meeting, the Stanhope City Council directed Clerk Vickie Anderson to order and install a new office computer after a motion by Councilmember Kempton Young and a second from Doug Sogard; the motion was approved.
Public works employee Tim Dally reported the bucket truck and snow plow are ready for winter, a water-plant dialer malfunction was fixed, and a lift-station pump that required rebuilding is now functioning. Council members noted the park playground is 99% complete and thanked volunteers and donors for support of Fire and EMS department fundraising.
The council went into closed session at 7:09 p.m. to discuss employee contracts. The closed session adjourned at 8:27 p.m. on a motion by Kempton Young, seconded by Doug Sogard. No contract details were recorded in the public minutes.
