Plan Commission to pursue ordinance amendment for Grow Automotive SUP; sets next meeting dates

During the Nov. 19 meeting City Clerk Katelyn Wands informed the Plan Commission that, after consulting legal counsel, it would be simpler to amend the existing special-use permit (SUP) for Grow Automotive by ordinance than to require the business to file a new SUP.
Commissioner Garen Miller asked whether the City Attorney or the Building Commissioner had provided proposed ordinance language; Wands said she had not yet received a response from those offices. The commission did not take final action on ordinance language at the meeting; staff were asked to follow up with legal counsel and the building department.
The commission set its next Plan Commission meetings for Jan. 28, 2026 and Feb. 25, 2026. No citizens spoke during the public-comment period. Commissioner Mike McArthur moved to adjourn; Commissioner Debbie Lawler seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.
The commission recorded several routine procedural actions at the start of the meeting: an amendment to remove an agenda item and approval of the amended agenda (both passed by unanimous voice vote), and approval of prior meeting minutes (passed by unanimous voice vote; transcript records a mover name that appears inconsistent with the meeting roll call).
