Council holds first reading on Mackenzie Pointe CID amendment; police to access proposed CID cameras

Chief Vargas stated Shrewsbury Police would have access to the new cameras but indicated that Dierbergs and the Mackenzie Pointe Plaza would not have access to Shrewsbury Police camera feeds. Alderman Stark asked specifically whether the cameras were mounted on mini trailers; Chief Vargas confirmed they are mobile, which allows focusing cameras on specific areas.
