WOODBINE, Ga. — At a called meeting Monday at Woodbine City Hall, the Woodbine City Council amended its agenda to remove a scheduled proclamation presentation and unanimously approved the amended agenda and the minutes of its previous meeting.
Mayor Kizziler Knight called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Councilors Rick Baird, C.C. Higginbotham, Louise Mitchell and Phyllis Drummond were recorded as present; City Administrator Samantha Young and City Clerk Elaine Koch were listed among city officials in attendance.
City Administrator Samantha Young asked the council to remove Dr. Robert T. Baird’s proclamation presentation because he was unable to attend. Councilor Rick Baird moved to amend the agenda; C.C. Higginbotham seconded and the motion was unanimously approved, as declared by Mayor Knight.
Mayor Knight then issued a proclamation naming Nov. 3, 2024, Retired Educators Day in the City of Woodbine. The transcript records the proclamation but indicates the presenter tied to the original agenda item was not in attendance.
