Town Administrator Rod Barnes told the council that the engineering design contract for streetlights on 52nd Avenue, from the Recreation Center to Crittenden Street, was awarded to Pennoni Traffic Engineering for $42,356 using CDBG PY50 grant funds. Barnes reviewed the scope and the funding source during the work session.
Barnes also reviewed the apparent award of the construction contract for sidewalks on 52nd Avenue and Crittenden Street, funded by the CDBG PY49R grant. The minutes state the award was reviewed but do not list a contract amount for the sidewalk work.
The discussion took place during the work session agenda review; no formal vote or council motion on the bids is recorded in the work session minutes. The Items remain part of the Feb. 12 meeting packet for further council consideration.
