Commission to consult town attorney on 37 Notch Road violation; regulation revisions circulated for comment

Chair Ross Lally reported at the March 24 meeting that there has been no recent activity on the cease-and-correct matter involving Alexey Ouzonov and a tenant at 37 Notch Road. The commission plans to consult the Town Attorney to determine next steps; Lally and Wetlands Agent Alyssa Barroso noted Planning and Zoning issued a violation about 30 days earlier and that there has been some compliance by the tenant.
Lally said he and Barroso attended a conference where remediation companies with contracting experience in environmental cleanup (CASS companies) made presentations; the commission will investigate remediation options and review the jurisdictional ruling that was issued years ago. On administrative matters, Member Michael McDonnell provided proposed updates to the wetlands regulations; Lally said he will distribute the draft to the Selectmen, Town Administrator, Bolton Conservation Commission and the Zoning Commission and asked recipients to provide comments within 30 days.
The commission did not record any new enforcement motion at the meeting; it will pursue legal consultation and continue to monitor compliance at the 37 Notch Road site while stakeholders review the proposed regulation changes.
