John Pozzato appeared at the Bolton Inland Wetlands Commission’s March 24 meeting to request modification of permit IW-25-3 for 25 Vernon Road. Pozzato said he recently purchased the property and is requesting a 5-by-12-foot floating dock, an 8-foot roof overhang above the deck, and a 4-foot crawlspace for utilities. Wetlands Agent Alyssa Barroso said the modification would not change the building footprint but would change roof details.
Commissioners asked several procedural and technical questions: Vice Chair James Loersch asked what would happen to excavated material from the crawlspace; Pozzato said the soil would be live-loaded offsite. Member Michael McDonnell requested that the floating dock be specified on the permit. Chair Ross Lally asked Pozzato to research dock type and return with specifications at the next meeting. Pozzato also said he intends to install a split-rail fence as a yard boundary; Chair Lally requested a fence plan for consideration alongside the modification request.
No formal approval or motion was recorded on the modification; the commission postponed action pending submission of dock specifications and a fence plan at a subsequent meeting.
