The Blair Common Council on June 1 approved liquor and tobacco licenses for multiple local businesses and granted a temporary alcohol permit for a community event.
Mayor J. Rawson opened a liquor-license hearing; no public comments were offered. Council approved 2026–2027 Class A beer and liquor licenses for Kwik Trip, J & S Sales d/b/a Express Mart, Dolgencorp d/b/a Dollar General, and Blair Meat Market. The council also approved Class B licenses for Amey J Knopps d/b/a Off Broadway, Lisa J Blaken d/b/a Wildcat Saloon, Jeremy D Tranberg d/b/a Blair Haus Sports Bar & Grill, and Tyler Palkowski d/b/a Blended Brew Bar. Roll votes were recorded in favor of the applications for the members listed in the minutes.
Council additionally approved cigarette, tobacco and electronic vaping-device licenses for Kwik Trip, Express Mart, Dollar General and Wildcat Saloon. Separately, the council approved a temporary alcohol license for Rod Squad for June 18, 2026.
The minutes record that council member Tyler Palkowski briefly removed himself from the chamber during the liquor-license hearing and later returned. No objections from the public were recorded in the minutes.
