Lancaster County proclaims July week as Pretrial Probation and Parole Supervision Week

The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners on July 7 read and approved a proclamation declaring the week of July 2026 as Pretrial Probation and Parole Supervision Week in Lancaster County.
Jeff Kilpatrick of Lancaster County Community Corrections introduced the county’s pretrial services supervisor and staff, said the recognition marks the sixth annual observance and traced the celebration’s origin to the American Probation and Parole Association’s efforts. "This marks the 6th annual pretrial probation and parole supervision week," Kilpatrick said, and thanked the board for ongoing support with issues such as drug-testing and facility arrangements.
Chair Krista Yocom and other commissioners praised community corrections staff for their work. Staff who work in pretrial and related units introduced themselves for the record; the board moved and approved the proclamation.
