The Town Board approved several routine contracts and budget actions intended to finalize 2025 accounts and preserve oversight of utility settlement terms.
Contracts and agreements: The board approved a firearms training agreement with Westchester County granting the town use of the county firing range through July 31, 2030, and authorized the town administrator to execute the agreement. It also renewed the town's 2026 municipal agreement with the Southeast Consortium (11 Westchester communities) for recreation and special-needs programming at a budget not to exceed $28,036.75 (a 2.5% increase).
Con Edison monitoring: Following participation in a rate-case intervention, staff recommended continuing legal and financial monitoring of Con Edison reconciliation and reporting. The board authorized participation in a Westchester Municipal Consortium monitoring program proposed by Dichter Law LLC for up to three years with a town cap of no more than $3,000; staff said the typical town out-of-pocket share would be $1,500 if all member communities participate.
Budget amendments: Town Comptroller Tracy Yagman presented fiscal-year-end operating amendments described mainly as housekeeping transfers with no net change to total budgets; the board authorized the controller to make the necessary amendments. The board also authorized capital budget amendments, with one project (the Riley Filtration Plant) noted as requiring additional funding.
Fire claims: The board approved fire-department claims certified by Chief Alex Rapp totaling $17,611.37; the largest invoice was $4,488.59 to Motorola Solutions for radios.
What this means: The actions complete year-end housekeeping, preserve the town's ability to monitor utility settlement obligations, and authorize ongoing training and recreation services.
Next steps: Town staff will execute contracts and implement budget transfers as authorized by the board.
