Weyauwega council approves pay raise and adds superintendent titles after closed session

Council member Chris Gunderson moved, and Council member Shani Appleby seconded, a motion to raise Carson Faulkner’s pay to $24.25 per hour and to add the title Street Superintendent to Faulkner and Water Superintendent to Michael Lee. The motion carried with five ayes and zero nays.
The council’s action followed the closed-session discussion of Administrator goals and Public Works wages; the minutes record the closed session start at 7:24 p.m. and return to open session at 8:40 p.m. Implementation of the pay change and title updates will be handled administratively by city staff.
The council provided no additional comments on other compensation changes during the open session; implementation steps include updating payroll records and employee job descriptions.
