Weyauwega — Police Chief Brandon Leschke presented the department’s monthly statistics at the April 16 Common Council meeting, reporting 327 calls for service in March, 57 traffic citations, 20 traffic warnings and 11 municipal ordinance citations.
Leschke said a countywide letter from local police chiefs about gambling machines in gas stations had been distributed and hand‑delivered to the gas stations in Weyauwega. He also said a proposed Flock camera location on W. Main Street received DOT approval and will be installed by the City.
Leschke said School Resource Officer DeGrand will give a presentation on proper car‑seat installation, and that he circulated a draft golf‑cart ordinance to council members; Clerk Rebecca Loehrke will format the draft into the city’s ordinance format and send it to Attorney Kalny for review.
The council received the report; no separate votes were recorded on these items during the meeting.
