The agreement is the same as the district contract the city used the previous year, according to meeting materials, and city officials said a new agreement will be developed prior to the current agreement’s Sept. 1, 2026 expiration. The vote in favor was recorded as Bond, Paige, Hardwick, Williams, Brash and Guy; there were no recorded nay votes.
The ordinance was presented during the meeting’s New Business section. No amendments or dissenting statements were recorded on the minutes. The council did not specify substantive changes to the cooperative terms during the public minutes; the minutes state only that a new agreement will be worked on before the present agreement lapses.
