Campbellsport board approves Washington Heights sidewalks 6–1; adopts routine motions

At its Sept. 8 meeting, the Campbellsport Village Board approved a slate of routine actions — including minutes, accounts payable, a Fair Housing proclamation, a contract review with CDI, a temporary Class B license for St. Matthew’s Congregation’s Fall Festival and safety report recommendations — and voted 6–1 to approve sidewalk work in the Washington Heights development.
The board approved the Aug. 11 meeting minutes (Schwai moved; Jarmuz second), with an amendment to members’ arrival times. It unanimously approved accounts payable for Aug. 8–Sept. 5 and adopted a Fair Housing proclamation. The board also authorized a CDI contract for review work at 122–128 E. Main St. and approved the safety report recommendation; those motions carried unanimously.
On the Washington Heights sidewalks motion (mover Hafemann, second Zielieke), the board approved a plan to finish all sidewalks within four years; the vote was 6–1. Jim Roberts of Jim Roberts Homes and Real Estate spoke to the board about sidewalks in the Washington Heights development before the vote.
Other approved items included a Temporary Class B beer/wine license for St. Matthew’s Congregation for its Sept. 21 Fall Festival and a unanimous motion to extend a conditional offer of employment to Cole Burdick. The board moved into closed session at 6:54 p.m. and adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
