Campbellsport board appoints Kevin Soyk to Joint Review Board, OKs event license and school-time no-parking rule

The Campbellsport Village Board unanimously approved routine business and several local measures at its Feb. 9, 2026, meeting, including the appointment of Kevin Soyk to the Joint Review Board and temporary licensing for a church fundraiser.

Board member Schwai moved to approve the Regular Village Board minutes from Jan. 12, 2026; the motion, seconded by Gellings, carried unanimously. The board likewise approved the Jan. 21, 2026 special meeting minutes and accounts payable for Jan. 1–31, 2026 in separate unanimous motions.

On appointments and event approvals, board member Hafemann moved and Gellings seconded the appointment of Kevin Soyk as a citizen member of the Joint Review Board; the motion carried unanimously. The board also granted St. Matthew’s Congregation a Temporary Class B Beer/Wine License for its Cabin Fever event on March 28, 2026 (motion by Jarmuz, seconded by Hafemann), which passed on a unanimous vote.

The board adopted a No Parking restriction on the north side of Mill Street between River Street and N. Helena Street, effective annually from Aug. 15 through June 1 between 7:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., on a motion by Jarmuz seconded by Zielieke; that measure passed unanimously. The restriction is intended to address school-day traffic and safety during posted hours.

The board moved into a closed session at 6:47 p.m. on a motion by Zielieke, seconded by Miller. The board reconvened to open session at 6:59 p.m. on a motion by Schwai, seconded by Jarmuz. The minutes state that no action was taken as a result of the closed session.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:01 p.m. on a motion by Zielieke, seconded by Hafemann.
