Mount Olive adopts $100,000 bond ordinance to add three South Hillside properties to water utility

The Mount Olive Township Council on July 7 adopted ordinance 18-2026 on second reading, authorizing a $100,000 bond issuance to finance water improvements in the South Hillside area and to include three additional properties in the townshipwater/sewer utility.
Councilmember Aaron moved for adoption and final passage; the motion was seconded and the clerk conducted a roll-call vote. The council recorded unanimous approval and the president directed the clerk to forward the ordinance to the mayor and publish the notice of adoption as required by law.
The ordinance appropriates $100,000 and authorizes issuance of bonds or notes to finance the cost of including three properties at addresses identified in the ordinance (South Hillside Drive) in the township utility, and directs special assessment of the cost as provided in the bond ordinance.
The council also introduced two other ordinances on first reading (19-2026 on deer-fencing regulations and 20-2026 revising home-occupation definitions) and scheduled public hearings and second readings for July 21, 2026.
