Board approves consent agenda items at June meeting: contract renewals and school nutrition award to appear on June 23 consent agenda

Procurement and nutrition staff presented consent agenda items to be considered at the June 23 board meeting.
Cole Crowder, director of procurement, said the district will present two renewal items: a fourth one-year renewal option for its waste removal contract (originally awarded to GFL Environmental in July 2022) and a second one-year renewal option for network components and recabling (originally awarded to AIOS Group in July 2024). "If you have any questions, they can come to us between now and June 23," Crowder said.
Gary Plunkett, executive director of school supports, presented a proposed award for paper and miscellaneous products to Tanner Grocery Company after a procurement that received three complete proposals. Plunkett said Tanner was the "highest scoring, lowest priced, and most responsive and responsible vendor." The estimated impact to the school nutrition budget for the first year is $426,349; the award includes up to four renewal options.
All four procurement items (and the nutrition award) were placed on the June 23 consent agenda for formal action.
