The consultant stated that some sediment reductions are calculated at discharge points based on drainage area and BMP effectiveness and reported the township needs to reduce an identified sediment amount (mentioned in the meeting as 75,000 in the context of the calculation system) across the permit period.
Residents asked how to access educational materials, who will perform training, how to file a stormwater complaint, and whether the program applies to private residential construction. The consultant said materials and reports are on the township website and that training specific to township public‑works operations is available; the consultant suggested emailing questions and offered to provide links to resources.
Board members discussed how new grading and stormwater ordinances and BMPs will feed into MS4 reporting and noted that older subdivisions present greater challenges for compliance. No regulatory changes were adopted at the meeting; the presentation served as the required annual status update.
