The Scurry County Commissioners Court unanimously approved joint resolutions authorizing election services contracts between the county elections administrator and local independent school districts for the Nov. 3, 2026 election.
The Chair read language naming Ira ISD and Hermitage ISD and referenced superintendents and the county elections officer who would execute the contracts. The reading referenced Anna Mung and Garrett Luft associated with Ira ISD and Jesse Ellerbe and Lori Baez associated with Hermitage ISD and the county elections administrator.
A commissioner moved to approve the resolutions "for our internally with the county elections administrator" and the court approved the motions by unanimous vote. The action authorizes the county elections officer to contract with the named school districts to conduct and supervise the November 3, 2026 election.
The court did not record further contested discussion and moved on to other agenda items.
