The Hainesport Township Board of Education authorized the district to submit an Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) grant application for a revised total of $88,881 and accepted routine finance reports at its Jan. 20 meeting.
Shelby Maccar, chair of the Finance/Facilities/Technology committee, presented committee reports that included the Board Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports for December 2025, the appropriation adjustment journal and payment of bills. Business Administrator/Board Secretary Jake Bryson certified in public session that, as of Dec. 31, 2025, no budget line item account had encumbrances and expenditures exceeding appropriations in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-16.10; the board recorded that certification on the minutes.
On action items the board authorized submission of the ESEA grant application for the revised total of $88,881 (agenda Item 23) and approved the submission of educational specifications for a state project to the New Jersey Department of Education (agenda Item 24). The motions on the finance agenda carried on roll call.
The board also ratified routine reports for student activity and cafeteria accounts and reviewed the EFT activity and other finance documents required for compliance with state regulations. Any additional project specifications or grant award details will be posted in future board materials when available.
