On Jan. 13, 2026, the Rolla Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend that City Council approve TXT25‑05, a proposed text amendment to Chapter 42 (Planning and Zoning) establishing term limits for members of the Board of Adjustment.
City Planner Tom Coots presented the staff report on the amendment. Commissioners discussed whether other boards have term limits; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. A motion by Commissioner Monty Jordan, seconded by Commissioner Janece Martin, carried unanimously to forward the text amendment to City Council with a recommendation for approval.
