During the public‑comment portion of the Dec. 16 meeting, Deputy Mayor Karen Tordy addressed the Hainesport Township Board of Education to thank members for working with the township, said the township will add an additional liaison member in the future, and announced plans for a July 4 celebration marking the country’s 250th anniversary.
The board had opened the meeting for public participation earlier in the agenda and again at the end of the public session; the deputy mayor’s comments were delivered during that second public‑comment period. The board then closed public comment and adjourned the meeting at 7:42 p.m.
Board member Erin Minero also used the meeting to thank outgoing board members Jeffrey Duda and Jason Cardonick for their service and to wish them well in their future endeavors.
