The Hainesport Township Board of Education on May 19 voted to approve a set of personnel contracts and summer staffing measures, including one‑year employment agreements for several confidential and administrative positions and school leaders.
Human Resources Committee Chair Erin Minero presented the slate of contracts the board approved: contracts for Meredith Gocke (Confidential Administrative Assistant to the Chief School Administrator), Pat Gwynne (Confidential Assistant to the Business Administrator), Alex Fisher (Principal K–8), Allison Tate (Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction), Karina McNulty (Preschool Expansion Supervisor), Anthony Procopio Jr. (Assistant Principal), Jules Krause (Manager of Buildings and Grounds), and Orlando Rodriguez (Assistant to the Facilities Manager). The board also listed one new hire for 2026–27, Alison Tharp, as a preschool teacher; that hire is noted as contingent on fingerprint clearance and as “TBD pending fingerprint approval.”
The board ratified a retirement for paraprofessional Hollie Riess, effective June 30, 2026, and approved a leave of absence reported in the agenda. Members also approved summer-hours assignments and extended‑school‑year positions, with example pay rates listed in the agenda (Extended School Year positions at $43.15 per hour and other appointments to be paid at 2025–26 contracted rates). The personnel items and summer staffing were considered together and carried on roll call at the meeting.
The personnel approvals align with the district’s standard conditional hiring language: employment is contingent on criminal-history review clearance and issuance of appropriate certification. The board’s action preserves continuity of leadership into the 2026–27 school year and establishes summer staffing for special programs and extended‑school‑year services.
Next steps: the approved contracts take effect on the dates listed in the agenda (most beginning July 1, 2026) and the district will complete required background and certification checks for listed hires.
