The board also approved general construction services with Vassa Construction, a printing contract with Midlands Printing LLC for envelopes and printing supplies, and a memorandum of understanding with Victory Supply LLC for corrections supplies and services with an aggregate not‑to‑exceed amount of $300,000.
Human Services staff presented and the board approved a grant contract with Cedars Youth Services for $12,521 to cover egress door work. The board approved a professional consulting services agreement with Maximus for cost allocation plans for fiscal years 2026–2028; the agenda language stated the cost “shall not exceed $25,000 and $25,500.” The personnel policy board recommended updates to Personnel Rule 14.4 (layoff) and related HR policy bulletins; Barb McIntyre presented the revisions and the board voted to adopt the changes to permit nonworking notice and to align overtime/compensatory time policy with labor contracts.
The Board of Equalization, meeting immediately after the commissioners' session, approved seven assessed valuation adjustments after an explanation from County Assessor Jacob Van Pelt; three parcels were reduced and four increased, and property owners will have 30 days to protest the new values. The board also approved motor vehicle tax exemption applications for several nonprofit organizations during the equalization session.
