Del City council approves SHINE contract, crosswalk beacon, ordinances and ODOT/ACOG sidewalk grant

At its June 1 meeting, the Del City council approved a set of routine contracts, emergency authorizations and infrastructure projects.

What council said and next steps

The city manager also told the council that OMAG’s Well‑Run Cities program has been engaged to review governance and processes.

For the sidewalks project, the city said engineering work required for the grant is complete and staff will include optional pricing on RFPs for wider sidewalks where feasible. For several approved contracts (SHINE, animal shelter, polycarts for waste collection), staff will execute documents and report back on implementation details.
