Contractors have deployed tents and other mitigation steps to protect footing work, and the superintendent said the district prefers a slightly delayed but properly completed foundation over rushing work and risking future problems.
The board acknowledged the delay and agreed with the emphasis on correct foundations. No change orders or unexpected additional impacts were reported in the presentation.
The superintendent said she will continue to monitor construction progress and report updates at future meetings; a regular project manager update was included with the board packet.
