Hillsborough County: $43 million spent on stormwater in 2025, staff say more funding needed; public hearing planned

Staff said the county has hundreds of additional stormwater projects needed to replace aging infrastructure and to improve storm resiliency, and that additional funding sources will be pursued. The county recap states that a public hearing on next year’s stormwater rates is planned for this summer.
The recap did not include vote tallies or a formal motion related to setting rates; it said staff will continue to identify potential funding sources and present rate proposals at the upcoming hearing.
