The Dawson County Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of a land-use and rezoning request from Amy Butler to adjust a 5-acre parcel so the retained tract meets the three-acre minimum.
Butler said the five acres were a gift from relatives after a divorce and that she intends to return two acres to family members so her parcel will meet the minimum required to keep her mobile home: “The 3 acres is…Yeah,” she said when confirming the survey results with staff.
Staff and commissioners confirmed the parcel’s survey status during the hearing. A motion to recommend approval was made and seconded; the Chair told Butler the commission will forward its recommendation to the Board of Commissioners next month for their review and final decision.
