Council approves consent payments and an appropriation ordinance

The Boonville City Council voted to approve consent agenda payments and adopted an ordinance appropriating funds for city salaries and accounts at its Dec. 1 meeting.

The council approved Pay Application No. 7 to HydroVac of Missouri for $7,049.95 for a lead line survey inventory, Pay Application No. 2 to CL Richardson Construction for $80,161.47 for water and sewer improvements, and Change Order No. 2 to CL Richardson Construction in the amount of $0.00. A council member moved to approve the consent items and another member seconded the motion; the council carried the motion by roll call vote.

The City Clerk read an ordinance appropriating $459,604.22 to pay salaries and various accounts for the City of Boonville, with line-item allocations listed in the ordinance: General Fund $127,427.30; Sanitation $59,849.13; CIP tax $23,556.36; Waterworks $123,788.31; Capital projects $5,851.46; Waste water $87,514.88; Tourism $6,915.82; Gaming $12,702.00; Parks and water $11,998.96. After the reading, a council member moved to approve the ordinance, a second was given, and the council approved it by roll call; one member was noted as not present for that vote.

No final votes were recorded on two items introduced as first readings — Bill No. 2025-029 (amending solid waste collection fees) and Bill No. 2025-030 (a commercial lease and operating agreement with Black Flock LLC and Josh Black for management of Hale Ridge Golf Course). Those matters were entered as first readings only and will return for further consideration.
