Chelsea said principals joined the meeting and emphasized the importance of understanding developmentally appropriate programming and aligning any expansion with best practice. The committee will analyze responses and bring recommendations back to the board.
Board members asked about impacts on local daycare providers and recommended speaking to kindergarten and first‑grade teachers for classroom perspective; administrators said those conversations will follow survey collection.
The work is preparatory: the committee will seek community data before proposing structural changes or new budget requests.
