On programming and instructional resources, Zipporah described a partnership with a university program that will install a free, nine-foot tripod weather station at Bean School and maintain it. "We will have access to all that data," she said, noting the station will provide local weather and soil data that teachers can integrate into classes for hands-on lessons.
Zipporah also said the district will send an informational letter to towns about the district budget meeting and that a one-page explanatory sheet will accompany the warrant notices to help taxpayers understand how the budget affects local tax assessments.
The board acknowledged the reports and thanked staff for planning ahead for staff transitions and community outreach.
