"It's a no match grant," the staff member said, and asked the board for official permission to apply. The board moved and seconded the request and the motion to approve the grant application and purchase was recorded as carried.
The board also approved a part-time hire for the 9-1-1 center (Danica Brown); the motion to hire was moved and seconded and recorded as carried.
Separately, staff described community complaints that the RAVE notification system had sent duplicate calls and emails. The 9-1-1 staff said the issue appeared related to duplicate profiles imported during a migration; staff are consolidating profiles to limit redundant notifications.
Michael Keane reported that vendor quotes for replacement dispatch computers were inconsistent and not directly comparable; he will return with standardized quotes at the next meeting.
