The Clerk Treasurer asked the board to approve a proposal to migrate the city’s accounting, payroll and HRIS systems to a cloud-based version provided by the city's current vendor, Voice.
The clerk said signing before the June 30 cutoff would save about $110,000 in implementation and migration fees. "By signing this proposal before the June 30 cutoff date, we save a $110,000 on implementation and migration fees," the Clerk Treasurer said. The board approved an initial payment of $6,525 to secure placement in Voice’s migration queue and allow budgeting of remaining costs in future fiscal years.
The clerk said the migration could take up to a year because other customers are ahead in the queue and stressed that the system is already compatible with the State Board of Accounts and the Indiana Gateway upload process. The board approved the contract and initial payment by voice vote.
