The Veneta Utilities Authority (VUA) opened its June meeting, completed roll call and approved the consent agenda (minutes from the June 2 meeting).
City Administrator Prince presented a budget transfer sheet the finance committee had reviewed and recommended for council consideration. He told the board the transfer list included an asterisked item raising utility maintenance and operations by up to $10,000 to cover ongoing projects and purchases of additional pipes and meters that had been missed earlier in the year: "we're doing a lot of different projects through there and buying additional pipes and meters that we missed," Prince said.
Finance committee chair Wofford said the committee had reviewed the list in depth and agreed with the move. The board voted to approve the transfers as presented.
The VUA then received a superintendent report and adjourned at 05:33.
The authority's actions were procedural and aimed at ensuring proper allocation of funds across departments for the remainder of the fiscal year; no public comments were recorded.
